Bullfrog Films: From Sea to Shining Sea

Wednesday, July. 2, 2025    |     6:00 p.m.

In recognition of Independence Day on Friday, July 4th (when the Wyomissing Public Library will be closed), the library will present a screening of the Bullfrog Films film, "From Sea to Shining Sea" on Wednesday, July 2nd at 6 PM. The screening is free and open to the public. Bullfrog Films, located in Oley, is the country's leading distributor of independently produced social justice issue films.

"From Sea to Shining Sea" tells the story of "America the Beautiful, the song that many believe should be our national anthem, and how Katherine Lee Bates came to write it. The music was composed by Samuel Augustus Ward, a choirmaster and church organist.

The film is 37 minutes long, and will be followed by a brief discussion.
