Are YOU a community hero? 
The library is looking for community heroes to join us for our summer storytimes!

 
If you, or someone you know, is involved with 
education, youth or senior programs, environmental issues, animal interests, religious institutions, arts and culture, or health and human services, please email Miss Joie at joie@wyopublib.org

Our storytimes are Wednesday and Thursday mornings @ 10:00 and last about 40 minutes. If you're passionate about what you do, we want to hear from you!  
 
 
Derby Party Fundraiser
 
 
Please join us for the 5th Annual Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the home of Carole & Ray Neag.  Individual tickets cost $75.  Space is limited.  Tickets are available for sale at the library and online at: http://wpl5derbyparty.eventbrite.com.

Non-Fiction Book Club


Join us the 3rd Wednesday of every other month for our new adult Non-Fiction Book Club! For the month of May, we will be reading "The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of the Oxford Dictionary" by Simon Winchester.

The Art of Pencil Drawing Class
 
We will study the classical rendering of form in light and shade with emphasis on proportion, symmetry, and composition. Students will work from still lifes, studies from reproduction, and imagination. Led by instructor Richard Chiango. 

No experience is required.

Fridays at 1:00 p.m. beginning April 10th.

Bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the community room with your storytime friends before we begin!
 
Allegiant Discussion Party

Have you read the final installment to the Divergent trilogy? Join us for a book party! Teens will talk about the series, make DIY Divergent mugs, and EAT!

Mommy and Me - Bond with your child while you experience yoga together! For ages 3ish-5ish. Remember to bring two beach towels!

Zumbini 

Have you heard? The library is starting a new family fitness class - Zumbini!

 
Zumbini is for the youngest "Zumba" fans, ages 0-3 years old, and their caregiver who are looking to have some fun and bond with their lil' party animals!

The Zumbini program was developed for caregivers and their children, to learn, bond, and grow in an upbeat and happy, musical environment. Join certified instructor Rae Johnson-Bundy for this energetic 45-minute class on

The library welcomed Beth Vrabel, author of middle-grade novel "Pack of Dorks," on April 14
to answer questions and talk about life as a published writer.
