Our library is always busy with programs for infants through adulthood.  Children's programs require many supplies.
A wonderful way to say "thank you" for library services to our community, is to donate items from our Amazon Wish List.  Click the link below for details.  Thank you in advance!

The library's October Speaker Series is on the horizon!  Visit the link for more details on the five engaging and thought provoking speakers.

That's a Wrap!
Another summer has come and gone.  We thank all the kiddos and their encouraging parents, who participated in our Summer Reading Program. An incredible 957 hours were totaled by our readers!

Many prizes were awarded including Fightin' Phils tickets, Reading Public Museum passes, and Miller Center tickets.  Congratulations to Matt, the winner of our Amazon Kindle eReader! Matt and his brothers are already putting it to good use!

Change is Good!

We are proud to announce that we are updating our Circulation System and Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) on Monday, September 9, 2013. The most significant changes will be seen with our OPAC, which can be accessed remotely from home.   Please be patient with us during this transition.

Here are a few of the new enhancements:

  • The new OPAC will allow patrons the option to turn on access to the history of the items they checked out.
  • Auto suggest searching will be available on the new OPAC
  • There will be additional content integration with Google previews and Novelis in our new OPAC
  • OPAC inactivity timeouts have been set to 5 minutes to protect patrons who walk away from an OPAC without logging off.

Possible future enhancements:

  • Patrons will be able to pay fines with a credit card via the OPAC
  • SMS text messaging will be available for hold notices

Summer Reading Scrapbook
The library is always bustling during the summer months. Below are snapshots of the fun we've been having during our Summer Reading Program.
Zoologist Phil Witman gave us an up-close view of animals that burrow under the ground.  Pictured here is a Blue-tongued skink.
This African sulcata tortoise enjoyed our tasty grass!
Lots of creative kids hard at work as they create fairy and gnome homes for those fanciful and illusive garden friends.
