WPL Mission Statement
"The mission of Wyomissing Public Library is to provide a wide variety of popular and informational material for reading, listening, and viewing. The library places an emphasis on those services which encourage children and parents to read together, as well as providing educational, cultural and general programs for the community at large. Electronic as well as print reference information is available."
Our library is always bustling with programs for infants through adulthood.  Children's programs require many supplies.
A wonderful way to say "thank you" for library services to our community, is to donate items from our Amazon Wish List.  Click the link below for details.  Thank you in advance!

Summer Reading Program
Monday, June 10 - Saturday, August 17, 2013

Dig up some treasure at Wyomissing Public Library for an unforgettable summer! Catch a rare glimpse of burrowing animals when they visit on August 3rd.  Snuggle up with your coziest blanket for family movie nights. Cool off with friends on Sprinkler Day!

The Yocum Institute will return with a stellar performance and many innovative workshops. We're privileged to host the Franklin Institute Traveling Science Show. Our friends from Snapology of Wyomissing will offer children the experience of creating robotic animals using laptops, LEGOs, motors and sensors.

Weekly storytime with Miss Corinne and Mini Mother Goose on the Loose will continue throughout the summer.

Wyomissing Public Library is the perfect destination to enrich your child's summer with quality programs and events that are always free of charge.  For a full list of summer programming, please visit the link below.

Required Reading Lists
Wyomissing Area students are given reading requirements to complete during the summer months. A special display will be created for students to easily locate their materials.  Of course if you need further assistance, we're happy to help!

A Note From Miss Corinne,
A Visit from AMA Photography

The old adage "a picture is worth a thousand words" rings true, especially when talented photographer Tania Colamarino is the artist.
On May 15th our library had the privileged to welcome Tania of AMA Photography to our Wednesday preschool storytime.  As a children's librarian, I see the overwhelming joy storytime brings to families every week. Tania beautifully captured what I hope to bring to storytime, a welcoming environment that fosters creativity, exploration, fostering growth and cultivating a love of literature.
Many thanks to Tania for sharing her talent.  Please enjoy these beautiful images of our newly renovated library and adorable little bookworms!

Representative Mark Gillen stopped by the library on April 18, 2013 during our volunteer luncheon to present the library with a citation that honors the library's 100th anniversary this year. Stop by the library to take a closer look at our citation.  It is located in our Office Reference area.
