Yoga for Everyone

Led by yoga instructor Amy Sharkey. Join us for some Vinyasa style yoga in the library's community room. All levels of experience are welcome. Each class is one hour long. No registration is required, and drop-ins are welcome!

Charles L. Byler

Join Charles L. Byler, Air Force Veteran and author, for a discussion about his book Tempered Steel: The Three Wars of Triple Air Force Cross Winner Jim Kasler.
 
A veteran of air combat during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, Colonel James H. Kasler served as an eighteen-year-old tail gunner in a B-29, flying bombing missions over Japan, became a legendary jet ace in Korea, and was so famous in Vietnam that he was known by name in the White House. He is the only three-time recipient of the Air Force Cross, the Air Force’s second highest award for wartime valor.

It's a couple's class painting class! Bernadette Bresnahan from Creative Spirit Painting will guide you step by step through the process of creating these paintings which you will bring home that same evening.

This class is designed for couples of all types including husband/wife, brother/sister, mother/daughter or friends. You must be 18 or older to attend this class.

Cost: $85 dollars per couple. Everything is included in the lesson fee. The canvases are 10 inches by 20 inches.

Pick a spot in the library, grab a book, and hang out with our adorable furry friend, Trixie.
 
Dogs as reading tutors? Our furry friends are non-judgmental listeners that won’t laugh when a child makes a mistake or stumbles over a word. Instead, these pups lay next to the children and enjoy the story being read to them.

Great Decisions 2018
