The Borough of Wyomissing is hosting it's first annual Spooky Hollow. The Happy Hollow Playground will be transformed into a fun, family event for all ages. Join our Children's Librarian, Miss Kris, at the event for a candy scramble and some spooky storytelling.

Join us for a special storytime designed for children entering kindergarten. Play-K is an early literacy initiative that promotes school readiness within the library setting. Children will participate in a "school-like" circle-time experience that includes stories, socialization and play, while parents are free to wander about and explore the Library.

YOGA+ (for ages 11-13)

Join us for the first class in our free 6-week program series. We will explore ways to manage stress, deal with anxiety, and declutter your mind. All materials will be provided for the classes; just bring yourself. Wear comfortable athletic clothing. Snacks will be provided. This program is funded by the Youth and Philanthropy Fund of Berks County Community Foundation.

Veteran's Seaker Series:
Doug & Liz Graybill

Doug and Liz Graybill are veterans and serve as director and co-director for the Veterans Making a Difference program, founded to help homeless veterans and veterans in need. They recently announced the grand opening of a Veterans Social Center on the first floor of the Hope Rescue Mission in Reading where veterans can gather to talk, enjoy a meal, socialize, use the computer room, laundry and shower facilities and have access to visiting doctors.

Dogs as reading tutors? Our furry friends are non-judgmental listeners that won’t laugh when a child makes a mistake or stumbles over a word. Instead, these pups lay next to the children and enjoy the story being read to them.
