For ages 3-5
Bond with your child while you experience yoga together! For ages 3ish to 5ish and a parent or guardian. Remember to bring two beach towels or yoga mats. Daddies, Aunties and Uncles are also welcome to attend.

Veteran's Seaker Series:
Dr. Michael Gambone

Michael Gambone, Ph.D., Professor of History at Kutztown University, will present a program about the similarities and differences in the experiences of military personnel who returned from World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War.
Dr. Gambone will discuss the historical context of each of the wars, what motivated people to enlist, the impact of their military experiences on their post-war lives, and more. He is the author of The Long Journeys Home which will be published in November. It is part of the Williams-Ford Texas A&M University Military History Series.

Please join us in welcoming author and humorist Cathy Sikorski. She will share her experiences caring for her older family members - which are chronicled in her hilarious books, "Showering with Nana" and "Who Moved My Glasses?" Attendees will laugh and cry along with Cathy as she reads and talks. Books will be available for sale and signing.

Join us for a special storytime designed for children entering kindergarten. Play-K is an early literacy initiative that promotes school readiness within the library setting. Children will participate in a "school-like" circle-time experience that includes stories, socialization and play, while parents are free to wander about and explore the Library.

Tail Waggin' Tutors

Pick a spot in the library, grab a book, and hang out with our adorable furry friend, Trixie.
Dogs as reading tutors? Our furry friends are non-judgmental listeners that won’t laugh when a child makes a mistake or stumbles over a word. Instead, these pups lay next to the children and enjoy the story being read to them.

It's Time to Talk!

How do you talk with your kids about drugs? Alicia Kline, Prevention Specialist with the Berks County Council on Chemical Abuse, will discuss how and when to start the conversation with your child about drugs and alcohol. Pleasant Valley Lost

Local author Joseph Swope will join us for a discussion about his book Pleasant Valley Lost, which chronicles the turbulent times of the 1960s in Berks County. During this time, the US Army Corps of Engineers was hired to create Blue Marsh Lake which caused the destruction of many historic family farms. Joe will share his family's experiences and many pictures.

Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Bob Ross Painting Party!
