Sprinkler Day!
Friday, August 4

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon of fun in the sun!  Freeze pops, slip and slides and sprinklers are sure to melt away the summer heat. Don't forget to bring a towel!

For all ages.  No registration is required.
Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Yoga for  Kids
Saturday, August 5
Join yoga instructor Amy Sharkey for our FREE yoga classes.   Class sizes are limited; registration is required. 
Mommy & Me @ 10:00 am.
For ages 3-5

Bond with your child while you experience yoga together! For ages 3ish to 5ish and a parent or guardian. Remember to bring two beach towels or yoga mats.  Daddies, Aunties and Uncles are also welcome to attend.

Catch the Wind
Tuesday, August 8 @ 2:00 p.m.

Learn the basics of wind energy, including how it works, measuring speeds and how to create your own wind “machines” from household items.  Participants will experiment with “catching the wind” by making and testing their own pinwheels.  Presented by Lancaster County Parks and Recreation.

Flowers and Pollinators 

Tuesday, August 15 @ 2:00 p.m.


Join us for a look at flower structures and how they attract pollinating insects. Every flower has a unique design that helps it survive and produce a seed by being pollinated. Participants will have the opportunity to get crafty and build a flower with its own unique adaptations.  Presented by Lancaster County Parks and Recreation.

Robert Orzechowski
Saturday, August 12 @ 1:00 p.m.

Robert Orzechowski is a decorated combat veteran. He served in Vietnam with the U.S. Marine Corps for twenty-six months, receiving an honorable discharge. He is a Life Member of the Marine Corps League.

Summer Block Party

The Library is once again teaming up with the Wyomissing Police and Fire Departments for an unforgettable block party event!

What's happening: Yard sale, Touch a Truck, bouncy house, dunk tank, yard games, music, food, and MORE!
Coloring for Adults
Tuesday, August 22 @ 7:00 p.m.
Join us for a relaxing night of coloring. Supplies will be available, but feel free to bring your own coloring books and materials.  Bring your friends!

Light refreshments will be provided.
A $5 donation is suggested.  All proceeds benefit library programming.

Local Author Visit: Don Himlin
Wednesday, August 30 @ 6:30 pm

Join us in welcoming local author and musician Don Himlin. His first novel Of Meadows and More (based on Dungeons & Dragons) was written from a life-long ambition to fuse his loves of comedy, science fiction and fantasy into one parody/homage to the genres.
