The Summer Learning Program is a 10 week program designed to promote the joy of reading and learning during summer vacation.

The library is the perfect destination to enrich your child’s summer with quality programs and events that are always free of charge. For a complete list, stop by the library and pick up a summer calendar or view it online.

Yoga for Kids

Join yoga instructor Amy Sharkey for our FREE yoga classes.

Class sizes are limited; registration is required.   
Mommy & Me @ 10:00 am.
For ages 3-5

Bond with your child while you experience yoga together! For ages 3ish to 5ish and a parent or guardian. Remember to bring two beach towels or yoga mats.  Daddies, Aunties and Uncles are also welcome to attend.

Understanding Dementia :
The Effects on Your Loved One & Your Family
Monday, June 5 @ 6:30 p.m.
Certified Trainer Marie Amoroso, from Country Meadows Retirement Communities, will offer proven ways to improve communication with a loved one who is currently living with dementia.  Light refreshments will be served.

Food Preservation
Wed., June 7 @ 6:30 p.m.
Do you grow your own food? Do you buy local produce? Now learn how to preserve it so you can eat it year round. Learn the steps to safely preserve food in your own kitchen. Participants will discover the processes of freezing, drying and canning through hands on demonstrations.

Veteran's Speaker Series:
Jim Johnson
Saturday, June 10 @ 1:00 p.m.
Jim Johnson served in the Army during the occupation after World War II.   Shortly after arriving home from his first tour of duty, Johnson was called to serve in the Korean War where he was assigned to a station in Greece working as a cryptographer.

Mr. Johnson is also a biographer for Lt. Samuel Gundy, a longtime friend and World War II POW (prisoner of war) from Berks County.

Duplicate Bridge for Beginners

Everyone is invited to participate in this beginner bridge program.  Classes are free and open to the public.  Participants must attend all 3 sessions:

YOGA+   (ages 11-13)
The Wyomissing Public Library and BLDG. 7 Yoga invite you to attend this 6-week special program series for ages 11-13.  This FREE series will explore ways to manage stress, deal with anxiety, and de-clutter your mind. All materials will be provided for the classes; just bring yourself. Wear comfortable athletic clothing. Snacks will be provided. This program is funded by the Youth and Philanthropy Fund of Berks County Community Foundation.
