Local Author: Suzie Carpenter

Join us as we welcome local author Suzie Carpenter. On the Bright Side is a story that can apply to all of us. It is a story about love, about learning to trust and let go of expectations, about finding a Zen place. It is a story about trusting your gut and staying true to your core values even when you're in doubt and despair and feeling like you're against all odds. Books will be available for purchase and signing following the program.

Veteran's Speaker Series:

Join us in welcoming author Jill Bateman to our Speaker Series. Her book, Flying Forts and Tall Dutch Tulips: A Year At War, chronicles the experiences her father had as a bomber pilot and Prisoner of War during Word War II.

Great Decisions 2017

Join us for in-depth discussions of world issues currently affecting U.S. policymakers. These weekly topics have been selected by a panel of experts and are presented through a briefing book, short video program and thought-provoking discussion.  For more information, please visit our website.

The program fee is $35; includes the cost of the briefing book & all 8 sessions.  For two people in the same household sharing a book, the cost is $40.

Mountains, Madness, and Miracles: 4,000 Miles of Appalachian Trail Stories
Saturday, February 18th @ 1:00 pm
Hiker Lauralee Bliss, an Appalachian Trail 4,000+ miler and the ridgerunner for Shenandoah National Park, will share stories and pictures from her 4,000 mile journey which she undertook northbound with her teen son and then southbound as a solo hiker. This presentation will inspire you to reach for your hiking dreams, whatever they might be. Her book, Mountains, Madness and Miracles: 4,000 Miles Along the Appalachian Trail, will be available for purchase and signing at the end of the event.

Join us for the screening of "Secret Life of Pets."  Rated PG.  90 minutes.
