The Happiness of Women or "La Bonheur des Dames" tells the story of how and why shopping changed forever in mid 19th Century Paris - the Fashion Capital of The World.  What inventions and newly rich clients ensured public enthusiasm of buying goods as entertainment and status.  This program is presented by Gail Dawson-White.
