Barrio Alegria Dance Company performance

Thursday, September. 24, 2020    |     6:00 p.m.

Barrio Alegria will present a live performance of Rosa Dances with Wolves 2.0. The performance will take place on the lawn of the library. Masks are required, and attendees should bring their own chairs.

The performance is a retelling of "Little Red Riding Hood". It follows Rosa, a young woman who is kidnapped by a band of wolves to help pay her grandma's debt. Rosa Dances with Wolves is part of Barrio Alegria's "Storytelling Through Dance" program, which intends to create a starting point for community members to talk about important, and sometimes uncomfortable topics.

Barrio Alegria is a community transformation organization located in Reading that utilizes the arts as a platform for community engagement and for the development of social and multicultural awareness.
